I made the best Hip-hop album this year – R.Peels challenges competition

Harare-based burgeoning hip-hop act R.Peels is in the midst of a press run for his new album ZviriEvaBeautiful ,out this weekend.

In his latest edition the 21 year old wordsmith real name Bruce Mungoyo has come out slamming down competition and showing resoluteness in his impending work. Responding to whether he’s intimidated or not about bigger artists dropping their albums the same time as him, the Mwana WaPharoah mastermind unflinchingly asserts ,

No ,I made the best hip-hop album this year.If this statement don’t live up to the claim you are allowed to regard me a fake”.No I’m not scared commercially ,My second single SakaChiii with Guluva7 & Chita has been doing well on radio and the streets too. I’m very competitive and non of them scare me creative wise, lyrically and sound too. They have been releasing music but their impact is cool,I’m not after cool results, I want ultimate Respect.

His album will be released on 31 July and it carries sixteen tracks on it. Guest appearances includes the aforementioned Mc Chita ,Guluva Se7en ,Fun F, Anonzi Xndr and Scrip Mula.

Last Saturday the rapper hosted an exclusive listening session at Nobert House, in Harare where he previewed all, except one of the tracks from his album, the one featuring Scrip Mula.

We were among the lucky few attendees and we’d a great time there.Noble Styles, Sharky, Krimz  Beats, Seletine, Kellenah Haurobi (YGE) and Boy Tricky were among the people who thronged the event.

It’s yet to be heard if he indeed made the best album, but what we can guarantee is that it’s noteworthy. We will notify you when the album is out.
