Africa News Network 7 will be available on DSTv from Friday 4 April 2014.
Liz Dziva, publicity and public relations manager of MultiChoice Zimbabwe, said the channel would launch on channel 405, joining the existing varied line-up of news channels on DStv. The channel will give viewers access to news from Southern Africa and from all across the globe.
The line-up of programmes includes Morning Prime, Express Lunch and Shape Your Life and the channel will have dedicated teams for the different segments ranging from politics, to business, sports and entertainment news. ANN7 will be available to DStv subscribers on the Family, Compact, Compact Plus and Premium bouquets and is complementary to news channels already popular on DStv, including SABC 24-Hour News Channel, CNBC Africa, eNCA, Al Jazeera, CNN, the BBC, Sky News and Bloomberg.
The Gupta family-owned channel had something of a difficult start in 2013 with some legendary gaffes.
