Former Generations actor shot dead in Soweto

According to reports from South Africa, former Generations actor Mandla Hlatshwayo was shot dead in Soweto, Johannesburg on Sunday.

The radio host and another victim were reportedly gunned down at a pub while trying to help people who were being robbed.

Jozi FM confirmed the news on Twitter:

Hlatshwayo was best known for his role as Siphiwe Phosa on the SABC1 soapie Generations, a role he played for seven years.
