Forbes Five: Richest Hip-Hop Artist

The money that some Hip-Hop artist make through their music, endorsement deals and various business projects has compelled Forbes to start compiling a list of the wealthiest hip-hop stars.

The Forbes Five list of 2012, features hip-hop’s wealthiest moguls.

1. Diddy is leading the pack with an estimated net worth of $550 million.
2. Next up is Jay-Z with a cool $460 million.
3. Dr. Dre is estimated to have $270 million.
4. Birdman of Cash Money Records has $125m
5. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has an estimated $110 million.

Notorious B.I.G’s words “You never thought that hip hop would take it this far” ring so true, certainly these guys are taking it far.

A few years ago if someone said that Forbes magazine a magazine known for featuring white collar C.E.O’s and Presidents would one day profile hip-hop stars because of the truckloads of money they have, people would probably laugh.
