The brainchild of Carl Joshua Ncube, who recently moved to the town to run Cotton Country Inn with his wife Nelsy, the BBQ Saturdays are aimed at becoming a feature of the oft-ignored part of the country.

This is part 10 events that Ncube is setting up to get this town all exciting again.

According to Ncube, this event may be starting at the hotel but once parties like City of Kadoma and the rest of the business community buy into the vision then whole street of Herbert Chitepo in Kadoma will see a festival like scene on weekends with street parties, a carnival atmosphere celebrating the best Kadoma has to offer in entertainment, food, farm produce and crafts.

This first BBQ Saturday will feature Ncube doing some cooking demonstrations, wine tastings and stand up comedy and also a talent search, fresh farmers market and arts and crafts being displayed at this cute little hotel in Kadoma. Ncube hopes to use this initiative to help sponsor a soup kitchen run by the local Baptist Church, something that will bring comfort and help to the under privileged in Kadoma considering the winter months that are already upon us.
