‘Fifty Shades’ Movie Banned In Kenya; Edited Version To Be Partially Screened In Zimbabwe

Kenya has banned the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey has been banned while Zimbabwe will show an edited version of it in some movie centres.

Kenya’s Film and Classification Board announced the ban on Thursday which will upset our Kenyan friends who will have read the book and fantasised about the show.

Part of the Zimbabewan franchise for Ster Kinekor (Westgate & Eastgate)  said:

Announcement contrary to the rumors that have been going around about the Fifty Shades of Grey Movie scheduled for viewing at Ster-kinekor Westgate and Eastgate (SK 105) the release is going ahead as scheduled there are security requirements which where requested by censor board which we are working to fulfill
The MOVIE WAS NEVER BANNED

The Ster Kinekor in Borrowdale however said that it would not screen the movie because it ‘felt heavy censorship would compromise the integrity of the film and thus, a decision has been made by Ster-kinekor Sam Levy’s Village not to screen the film within its complex’.

So since it will be edited will it be like 46.3 shades of Grey?
