ExQ, Nutty O granted bail over fake Covid-19 certificate drama

Zimbabwean artists ExQ and Nutty O have been granted bail, after they were arrested on suspicion of attempting to use a fake Covid-19 certificates.

The pair were granted ZWL5,000 bail each by Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi.

The duo, facing fraud charges for allegedly tendering fake Covid-19 certificates at the Robert Mugabe International Airport, maintain their certificates are legitimate and were acquired in South Africa where they were tested.

Valid negative Covid-19 certificates are a requirement to travel in and out of Zimbabwe.

If found guilty, the pair could get a significant fine, or a custodial sentence, or both.
