ESPN Pulls Its Channels From DSTv

US Sports content provider ESPN will pull its channels from African pay TV operator DSTv at the end of July.

Apparently this decision is part of ESPN pulling out of non-US territories, the reason being viability.

That means the  Disney-owned company won’t provide content on ESPN(Channel 230) and ESPN Classic (channel 231).

This will come as a blow for Africa’s growing legion of NBA and NFL fans although it does mean Supersport could acquire those rights for itself.
