Dr Oliver Mtukudzi, I Presume

Zimbabwe’s iconic star Oliver Mtukudzi will receive an honorary doctorate on 4 July 2014.

This will be conferred by the International Institute of Philanthropy and is an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Human Letters (DHL).

It is Tuku’s third honorary degree following a 2003 Honorary Arts degree from the University of Zimbabwe  and a Women’s University in Africa  M.Sc. Fine Arts Degree in 2009.

Said Tuku to the IIP:

Ndinofara zvachose kuwana vanhu vakaita semi vanoona mashandiro atinenge tichiita, zvinotipa manyemwe ekuenderera mberi nekusimudza mureza we Zimbabwe (It makes me very happy that there are people such as yourselves who see the work we do as it encourages us to keep on lifting the Zimbabwean flag).
