Cultural Month Competition winners announced

The National Arts Council of Zimbabwe in partnership with the European Union in Zimbabwe Cultural Month Competition winners announced.

This was on the basis of a an exhibition titled, UNITED IN DIVERSITY- Promoting Diversity, Unity and Peace.

After careful consideration of initial submissions there was a total of 50 entries into the competition. The 50 entries constituted the following categories: Women, Youth and General category.

In the Women Category only four artworks were selected and adjudicators could not find a suitable fifth artwork. The following 4 artists qualified into the finals;

And the winners are

Number 3:      Chatsama Tracy

Number 2:       Zibengwa Simelokuhle

Number 1:       Mamvura Lorraine

In the Youth Category the following 5 artists qualified into the finals;

And the winners are

Number 3:      Makuvise Tinotenda k

Number 2:       Mutukwa Blessing

Number 1:       Tirivangani Lawrence

In the General Category the following artists qualified into the finals:

And the winners are:

Number 3:                  Deve Shephard

Number 2:                   Nyamondoro Eckel

Number 1:                   Chitiyo Ishmael
