Comrade Fatso is certainly clocking up some serious air miles and his latest destination is Colombia where he is performing at the Medellin International Poetry Festival.
It is the world’s biggest poetry festival and runs from 18 to 25 June 2016. It will play hos to poets from every single continent in the world and will be attended by thousands of poetry lovers.
While those who have come across him of late will identify Comrade Fatso as a comedian, his poetry roots run deep. He is a founder of the House of Hunger Poetry Slam in Harare and with his band, Chabvondoka, he has toured globally taking their revolutionary spoken word and music to festivals in Europe, America, the Caribbean and Africa.
Said Fatso who is already in Colombia:
It’s great to be invited to such an inspiring poetry festival where thousands of people come out just to hear spoken word. Poetry is still a big passion of mine and its wonderful to be able to share our Zimbabwean struggle through poetry with the rest of the world.
