Chimurenga Music Competition deadline for song submissions extended

The deadline for submission in the Chimurenga Music Competition has been extended to 30 November 2020.

The original date was 23 November 2020.

The organisers, Institute of African Knowledge and ZBC’s Power FM confirmed the news, saying it was a response to the high demand from atrtists.

Submissions are to [email protected] and [email protected] and have to be done by 23.59hrs of the new deadline.

Adjudication now happens between 2 and 4 December, voting or the winning artists taking place between 7 and 13 December 2020.

PRIZES TO BE WON BY ARTISTS

1) 1st prize is  a CAR , US$2000 and a recording contract. 

2) 2nd prize is a CAR and US$1000

3) Third prize is US$500
