Burna Boy explains why he turned down a Zanu-pf scarf for money

Nigerian star Burna Boy has explained why he turned down a scarf, even as he was offered financial means to do so by someone from the governing Zanu-pf party.

In an interview with New Media City, Burna Boy did not give any details of the whole affair which was posited by the host. He however did not deny it happened.

He explained, “I have turned down things that even a greater man than me could not turn down. Because I do not want any involvement in politics and trickery, you understand?

“I have already made my stance clear. There is no reason for surprise.”

Asked whether he would endorse anyone else even if they represented his views, Burna Boy said, “I mean for me, it’s something… I can only speak for now, because I don’t know what;s gonna happen tomorrow and who is gonna come into the picture… But as of today, how do I say this, who is worthy enough to play God.”
