Bulawayo High Court orders arrest of DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small, forcing Vic Falls Carnival refund

Famed South African DJs Kabza De Small and Dj Maphorisa were in trouble.

A Bulawayo High Court ordered their arrest after they performed in the city on Sunday night.

The duo is to be held in prison until they are served with summons for non-appearance at the Vic Falls Carnival this past April and a refusal to remand.

Kabza (Petrus Kabelo Motha) and Maphorisa (Themba Sonnyboy Sithole) had a claim of USD18,395.82 against them for which they were to either provide security or pay up.

There was a standoff at Holiday Inn on Monday morning. with Vic Falls Carnival organisers, Immigration officials, the police and the Sheriff of the High Court in attendance.

However, a vehicle pulled up with a wad of USD and then rushed off to the Master of the High Court to make the payment after which they should avoid arrest.
