Brit-Zim Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page wins NAACP Image Award

British-Zimbabwean Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page continues to make moves and the latest is winning his first NAACP Image Award.

Page won the award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama, his first ever acting prize.. In the Netflix drama, he heartthrob stars opposite Phoebe Dynevor as the Duke of Hastings. He is up for the same category at the 2021 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

He is the first Zimbabwean to pick one up since Danai Gurira got the gong for her role in Black Panther.

In receiving the award, an excited Page said, “It is the highest  honor to represent us in our glamour, in our royalty. I will do my absolute best to be worthy of that.”
