All set for Emtee’s Shoko debut

Festival goers are set for a massive night of Hip Hop on Friday the 29^th of September at Shoko Festival 2017.

Shoko Festival’s evening of Hip Hop will be headlined by South Africa’s Emtee and top local acts Cal_Vin, Guluva Sev7en, Ti Gonzi and Tulk Munny at the main festival site, the Zimbabwe Museum of Human Sciences

The Hip Hop night will be headed up by the multi–award winning South African Hip Hop artist Emtee who has topped African Hip Hop charts with his tracks Roll Up, We Up, Ngake and Pearl Thusi. Emtee’s debut album Avery earned him critical acclaim and went platinum in South Africa. Representing Zimbabwe is one of the country’s top Hip Hop artists Cal_Vin who has performed around the world and worked with internationally recognized artists such as Cassper Nyovest and AKA. The night will also feature performances from one of Zimbabwe’s most active local hip hop acts Guluva Se7en alongside Tulk Munny, winner of the 2016 People’s Choice award at the Changamire Hip Hop Awards. Also on the line up are Zvenyu hit maker Ti Gonzi, rising hip hop crew The Higher Culture and popular DJ, Reverb 7.

Shoko Festival is always a major event to watch out for on the Zimbabwe Hip Hop calendar with previous editions having featured performances from Cassper Nyovest, AKA, Khuli Chana, Tehn Diamond and Junior Brown.

Shoko Festival is Zimbabwe’s biggest festival of urban culture and is running from the 29^th of September to the 30^th of September at the Zimbabwe Museum of Human Sciences, Rotten Row and moves to Chitungwiza Unit L on the 1^st of October for the final day.
