South African rapper AKA is unhappy with house superstar Black Coffee over a comment he made on Twitter.
Black Coffee said:
Now that's hip hop….not this nonsense some of our local hip hop artists do…some even attacking tweeps…Put in a song..We want MUSIC ?

AKA was not going to let it slide and he came out with an expletive ridden bunch of tweets going in on Black Coffee:

Our verdict?
Well Black Coffee voiced an opinion much like anyone would. He said some local rappers not all local rappers so there are of course others who are doing well.
AKA exercised his right to defend the genre but to say that he should not have a right to comment on hip hop because he does not do hip hop is wide off the mark. Black Coffee’s contribution to entertainment is not confined to his genre. His success is for the whole industry. Not to say everything he says must be taken on board but that he should not be allowed to say it is kinda weird.
It is what it is.
