ZMDC Denies Meikles Resources Deal

The Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation has been quoted by state media as denying that it has engaged in a partnership with Meikles Resources to mine diamonds in Marange.

We caught wind of this story last week but ZMDC board chairman Mr Godwills Masimirembwa said:

There is no partnership to mine diamonds between ZMDC and Meikles. They (Meikles) have probably applied to the ZMDC management to be considered for a joint venture.

Meikles Resources is the mining arm of Meikles Limited, a listed conglomerate.
