Two teenagers have been arrested after they allegedly stabbed a 30-year-old Zimbabwean man to death in Kwaaiman, near Port St Johns, Eastern Cape police said on Wednesday.
The Zimbabwean man, a clothing peddler, was collecting payments in the Willow administrative area of Kwaaiman on Monday when the two, aged 16 and 18, allegedly attempted to rob him, said Major Zamukulungisa Jozana.
A case of murder was opened and the two were arrested by police the following day.
They will appear in the Kwaaiman Periodical Court on Thursday.
Our thoughts go out to the family of Zimbabwean national. There has been a startling increase in the number of Zimbabweans abroad and it is depressing. Maybe it is because there are more Zimbabweans out there and the avenues for reporting it have increased but the death of a fellow national is always sad.
