Marikana Striking Miners Threaten To Kill Lonmin Management

The situation in Marikana continues to get more weird as striking miners have now warned the management of Lonmin they will kill them unless they shut down the mine’s K3 shaft.

Representatives of the striking miners have given management Wednesday and Thursday to comply failure to which they will carry out their threats and burn the mine down.

The miners have also been preventing any of their colleagues from going to work. The marchers carry knobkerries, sticks and iron rods singing anti-Zuma songs.

Miners want R12,500 salaries. The management of company is not keen.

Tensions have escalated since the 16 August killing of 34 miners by the police.
