Legendary entertainment icon Quincy Jones has died.
His publicist said the icon had died at his Bel Air home on Sunday.
Said the family in a statement: “Tonight, with full but broken hearts, we must share the news of our father and brother Quincy Jones’ passing. And although this is an incredible loss for our family, we celebrate the great life that he lived and know there will never be another like him.”
Jones, who was 91, worked the variety of stars. Many will know for his production Michael Jackson’s Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad albums.
He had success with TV as well, as the man behind the 90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
Jones also launched Qwest TV, currently available on DStv channel 330.
He is the third most Grammy-nominated artist with 80, behind Jay-Z and Beyonce on 88 each. He is also the third most awarded with 28 gogngs to his name.
