Rwanda Women won by 6 wickets

Zimbabwe Women A are through to the final of the Kwibuka Women’s T20 tournament despite a six-wicket loss to Rwanda Women.

That is because the Zimbabweans had a superior net-run-rate after the two sides finished on the same points.

Zimbabwe A posted 127 for the loss of three wickets in their 20 overs, thanks to an unbeaten 100-run fourth-wicket partnership between Loryn Phiri (58*) and captain Chiyedza Dhururu (42*).

Rwanda did not help their cause with multiple dropped catches.

They were steady with bat, against a youthful Zimbabwe side which had nine teenagers in its team.

Henrietta Ishimwe top-scored with 46 not-out, sharing a 61-run partnership for the fifth wicket with Clarisse Uwase who made 29.

Marie Bimenyimana, skipper for Rwanda, made 18 up top.

Zimbabwe A make the final at the first time of asking at the tournament. They meat the unbeaten Uganda Women in the final on Saturday at 2pm.
