CAPS United owner blasts fans for pitch invasion

CAPS United owner Farai Jere has  taken a swipe at fans of his clubs for a pitch invasion that resulted in the abandonment of their match against FC Platinum on Saturday.

Jere called the behaviour ‘totally unacceptable’.

He added that ‘CAPS fans should not have taken matters into their own hands.’

The fans reacted after the assistant referee flagged a goal by Ralph Kawondera offside. FC Platinum were leading 1-0 in the 88th minute.

CAPS head coach called the league a ‘comic show’ over officiating.

Jere is also the chairman of the Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
