Zim PSL 2024 Matchday 3 Thursday roundup: Bikita spoil Caps’s Rufaro return, Ngezi still winless

Newboys Bikita Minerals stunned the Caps United faithful, with a 1-0 victory at what was Makepekepe’s return to the fabled Rufaro Stadiun, in a Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match on Thursday.

Carlos Makambira will go down in history for the famous victory, for the side’s first win in the league, after their promotion was finally confirmed.

FC Platinum had to rally back to earn a 2-2 draw at home to Chicken Inn.

Lawrence Mhlanga opened for FC Platinum, but Chicken Inn scored two quick goals through Lincoln Mangaira and Micheal Charamba. Juan Mutudza earned the hosts a draw.

Defendin champions Ngezi Platinum failed to win again, held 0-0 at ZPC Kariba.
