Bonne excited to be back with the Zimbabwe team

England-based striker Macauley Bonne has said he is excited to be back in the fold with Zimbabwe, after he was picked for the Four Nations tournament in Malawi.

On Instagram account, he shared, “Buzzing to be back with the national team”.

Fans had been questioning whether Bonne would come, with calls for him to be banished if he snubs the call.

This is because he has done this in previous times, and most famously, the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Since then, his stock has fallen. At one time, Bonne was tipped for a Premier League move but now is at League One side, Cambridge United, from League Two outfit, Gillingham.

He has five goals in 41 matches across both sides.
