Met Department speaks on Tropical Storm Filipo

The Meteorological Services Department of Zimbabwe has commented on the Tropical Storm Filipo.

In a communication, it said, “Tropical Storm Filipo WILL NOT affect Zimbabwe much

“Do not spread panic and fear. Zimbabwe is safe.”

Social media had been awash with rumours that the storm would cause damage to Zimbabwe.

Parts of Zimbabwe will have rain on Tuesday but not much is expected, the Met Department said in its regular updates.
