Zimbabwe Women opener Modester Mupachikwa has made history for her country.

The diminutive opener became the first Zimbabwe Women player to score 1,000 T20 International runs.

The milestone was reached during the final group match at the African Games.

She made 40 in what was her 45th match in the format for her country.

Mupachikwa averages 30.36, at a strike rate of 85.56. That includes three half-century and a highest score of an unbeaten 75.

It has been an impressive career for the 27-year-old who made her debut in 2019.
