The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) has moved to suspend its Chief Executive Officer Adelaide Chikunguru.
In a statement, the board said the reasons for Chikunguru’s suspension have been confidentially made known to her but are not, however, being made public for the time being.
Meanwhile, the Corporation’s Finance Director Assael Machakata has been appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer for the duration of Chikunguru’s suspension.
Chikunguru has had a beleaguered tenure and most recently was accused of refusing to allow salary increments as a resistance to the newly appointed Helliate Rushwaya-led board.
