There has been some chatter (little of it) on why the sensational Antum Naqvi has missed the last two Logan Cup matches for his Rhinos side.
He was out for the loss to Eagles last week, and is not the team sheet for the duke-out against table-toppers Southern Rocks.
“Antum had been playing with a few shoulder injuries that’s why he didn’t bowl at all in the four dayers. It was starting to effect his batting so he decided to rest it and recover for the T20s,” his father Zubair Naqvi exclusively told 3-mob.com.
“He was carrying it from Christmas break and didn’t get enough time after the games to recover. He needed 3 weeks recovery time (rest) according to a specialist in Harare,” he added.
Antum himself, in speaking to 3-mob.com gave more details, said he got a partial tear in his tricep.
The partial tear happened in the match where he scored the historic 300*.
He is expected to be fit for the T20s, although he may play the final Logan Cup match on Tuskers.
