South Africa-based Zimbabwean comedy Q Dube has issued an apology after he invited ire over his comments on a South African podcast.
Q said the apology was in response to many calls of dismay he had received.
He put his comments down to over-excitement and getting carried away.
On the podcast, Q said, “My fear is smelling like a Zimbabwean.”
While the host tried to give him an exit ramp from his statement, he doubled down on his statement.
It resulted on one of the participants in the exchange, a South African woman saying she ‘smelt a whole family’.
It was all quite cringe.
But he has apologised, so we move.
