Phenomenal Lighting and Power Solutions has announced the 2nd edition of the Phenomenal Festival of Lights (PFOL_2023), taking place from the 27th to the 29th of October 2023 at Gordon Park, a surreal campsite housed within Matobo National Park, in Matabeleland Province to the South West of Zimbabwe.

The Phenomenal Festival of Lights aims to highlight the importance of lighting and create a vibrant networking platform for those who work with light; performance artists, lighting professionals, filmmakers, photographers and lighting students.

The inaugural edition held at the same venue in 2022 was a resounding success. It featured performances from prominent performers such as Nobuntu, Tariro neGitare, Gwevedzi, Sylent Nqo, Klara Ana Rosa, Vera, and Mazwi, among others. The festival kicked off with a memorable bonfire and offered a variety of activities including hiking.

This year’s edition promises to be even more exciting, with performers such as Jeys Marabini, Othnell Mangoma, Albert Nyathi, and Thandy Dhlana also adding light to the festivities. We are honored to have Mr. F. Mpfunya, Executive Director of Culture Fund Zimbabwe, officiate the event. Among invited dignitaries will be the Ambassador of the European Union to Zimbabwe, His Excellency Jobst von Kirchmann.

The PFOL_2023 has the support of the Culture Fund through the creativeACTIONs2 grant funded by the European Union, as well as that of the US headquartered lighting equipment company, Electronic Theatre Controls.
