Northerns 247-6 in 40.5 overs (Kelis Ndhlovu 87, Nomatter Mutasa- Ziyambi 28 ;Francesca Chipare 4-42, Christina Mutasa 1-22)

Northerns won by 4 wickets

Teenage cricket star Kelis Ndhlovu was on the forefront of a Northens Women’s six-wicket victory over Southerns Women in a Women’s Regional One-Day Match at Old Hararians on Wednesday.

Her efforts with bat ball continued to belie her age as she spearheaded her side’s triumph.

Ndhlovu took 3 for 34 in the bowling effort, although that was not enough to prevent Southerns post a formidable 246 for the loss of nine wickets.

Nyasha Gwanzura got 69 and Ashley Ndiraya 65.

Northerns could have restricted Southerns to less were it not for the dropped catches.

Ndhlovu then curated a brilliant innings and fell short of her century when she departed for 87 runs in as many balls.

Northerns lead the three-match series 2-0, with one more game on Friday.
