Bosso fans invade pitch, match against Dynamos abandoned

The match between Dynamos and Highlanders has been abandoned after an invasion by fans of the latter at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo.

Dynamos were leading 2-0 in the first half of the Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, looking at inflicting a third consecutive defeat against Bosso.

Dembare goals had come from Keith Madera and Frank Makarati.

Bosso fans the invaded the pitch in the 40th minute after they were upset with a call by the referee, which they claimed was a penalty.

Police were forced to interfere to clear the pitch but to no avail.

The Match Commissioner called off the match after a restart failed.

It will be yet another year in which Highlanders fans have caused a match to be abandoned.
