The Zimbabwe government has adjusted the schools opening dates for kids in Harare in all areas.

For parents the CALA nightmare, which had been scheduled to start on 4 September, has been moved by two days to 6 September.

The adjustment was notified by Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services permanent secretary Nick Mangwana.

It is thought that the action is related to the inauguration of President Mnangagwa on Monday.

Makes sense a bit, but pretty sure schools, and parents could have done with a bit advance notice.

The article has been updated to reflect that the government has now decided to delay schools all over Zimbabwe, Earlier it had been said that it was in just in Harare, according to Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services permanent secretary Nick Mangwana.
