Zimbabwe president Emmerson Mnangagwa has finally given us the date when he will announce when this year’s harmonised elections will be held.
Speaking at a National Culture Month event in Binga on Saturday, he said that the announcement will be made ‘the day after tomorrow’, which means Monday 29 May 2023.
Zimbabweans will take to the polls this year to choose the President, their National Assembly representatives and councillors.
The major parties contesting are the governing Zanu-PF party, and the Nelson Chamisa-led CCC party.
