Mbuya Stella Chiweshe burial arrangements announced

The National Arts Council has released burial arrangements for the late Mbuya Stella Chiweshe.

A statement released on Monday, reads as follows:

The late NAMA legend Mbuya Stella Rambisai Chiweshe who died on Friday 20 January 2023 will be laid to rest on Tuesday 24 January 2023 at Nekati Village, Chief Masembura Area in Chiweshe about 40 kilomitres from Bindura.

The body will leave Harare for Chiweshe on Monday afternoon. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning at her homestead and she will be interred in the afternoon.

She has been accorded state-assisted funeral status.

Mbuya Stella was 76.
