Bulawayo man appears in court after assaulting two of his wife’s lovers

A Bulawayo man has appeared in court after he was arrested on charges of having assaulted his wife’s lovers,

Yes, two.

Prosper Mpofu, a medical student at the National University of Science and Technology, currently on attachment at Mpilo Hospital in Bulawayo was remanded out of custody for allegedly assaulting the two men.

Mppofu is said to have assaulted Erick Gumbo (complainant no.1) on the 7th of October 2022 at Silver Sands Lodge, Bulawayo. This was after when he found Gumbo in a compromising position with his wife.

Three days later, on the 10th day of October the accused proceeded to 205 Parklands Flats on Parirenyatwa Street Bulawayo, where he found the second complainant, Butholenkosi Gula-Ndebele with his wife. The accused assaulted the complainant before destroying the complainant’s property comprising a Samsung 55 inch Television, television stand, guitar, and picture frame.
