Zim PSL 2021-22 Matchday 30 roundup: FC Platinum a win away, Chicken & Highlanders draw

FC Platinum are one win away from defending their Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title after they beat Herentals 1-0 in Saturday’s matchday 30 action.

Walter Musona got the soliitary goal and could have claimed the title on had Dynamos not beaten WhaWha 1-0 on Sunday. Tinashe Makanda got that goal for the Glamour Boys. They now sit second in the league.

Third are Chicken Inn who drew 2-2 with Highlanders in the big derby on Sunday. Malvin Gaki and Munashe Pini put the Gamecocks two-up only for Bosso to rally back through Stanley Ngala and a last-minute equaliser from Pritchard Mpelele.

On the other end of the table, troubled Bulawayo City did their chances of survival a world of good as they beat Bulawayo Chiefs.

That puts them five points behind ZPC Kariba in 14th.

Harare City drew 1-1 with Ngezi Platinum and they a point ahead of Bulawayo City.

Tenax lost 2-0 at home to Black Rhinos.

WhaWha, currently propping up the table, are only mathematically alive as they are 12 points behind ZPC Kariba.
