Nakamba named as a sub for Villa’s clash with Southampton

Beleaguered Zimbabwean midfielder Marvelous Nakamba has been named among substitutes for Aston Villa’s Premier League tie against Southampton on Friday.

Nakamba has been frozen out by manager Steven Gerrard, who this week called him to show more hunger to fight his way back in to the team.

Nakamba has not started a single league match for the Villains this season.

The club even tried to offload Nakamba this close season but no suitors were found.
