Ngezi sack Benjani

Intemperate Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League side, Ngezi Platinum have sacked their coach Benjani Mwaruwari.

After landing his signature to pomp ceremony earlier this side, the moneybags have decided they have seen enough of the experiment with the former national team captain, and decided to cut their losses.

Benjani did not help his own cause. In 13 matches at the helm, he mustered a mere three wins, meaning a win rate of just 23%.

The last straw was the matchday 22 1-0 reversal against Yadah this weekend.

Benjani leaves Madamburo languishing in 9th, a full 17 points behind league leaders FC Platinum. To put that into context, they are eight points above relegation.

That was not on for the ambitious cash-rich side, whose investment has fallen short of its achievements.
