Stunner appears in court over allegedly assaulting his wife

Celebrated Zimbabwean rapper Stunner has appeared in court has appeared in court over allegedly assaulting his wife.

Real name Desmond Chideme, 41, Stunner faces a charge of the abuse of Dione Tafirenyika, 23. He made his first appearance in court Tuesday morning.

It is said that a misunderstanding took place after Dione refused to hand him her mobile phone.

It is alleged that he then slapped her before forcibly removing her artificial fingernails.

Stunner pleaded not guilty to the charge and is expected back in court on the 11th of May for trial.
