A former cricketer turned coach Procter Saurombe has been found dead.
The circumstances around it all are unclear but hereis what we know so far.
Who was Procter Saourombe?
Procter Saurombe was a former cricketer with Old Hararians. After his career he went on to coach at Prince Edward School as well as individual players. He had also been umpiring club matches.
What happened?
Saurombe was found hanging upside down on the sharp-edged hooks hooks of the gate to his house in Glen Norah. His body was suspended by his shorts which were trapped by one of the spikes.
What could have caused his death?
It is not clear at the moment as here what has puzzled some. While it has been thought he was jumping over the wire and may have been hurt causing his death, the fact that he was found with his set of keys to the gate in his pocket is raising eyebrows. Add to that, his mobile phones were missing.
Where was he before?
He had been hanging out with friends, some them cricket players and others coaches.
What now?
The family now say they are awaiting a post-mortem.
He was 43.
