Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano produced another unbeaten half-century in helping her Mountaineers Women side to a nine wicket win over Tuskers Women on the second day of the Women’s T20 Cup at Old Hararians on Friday.

She followed up her 55 on Thursday with a 58 on Friday to remind those who had forgotten, the quality she has.

Her efforts were part of a low target of 102 which they achieved with 25 balls remaining.

Loryn Phiri with 11 and captain Pellagia Mujaji also with 11 were the other contributors. There were 22 extras conceded, the majority of them wide.

That is however to take away nothing from Mugeri-Tiripano who is batting like she had never been out with injury.

Earlier, Tuskers, who had won the toss were restricted to 101 for the loss of wickets.

Bar a 30 from Chiedza Dhururu and 20 from captain Tasmeen Granger, there was not much else to see.

Extras with 21 were high and 15 of those being wides.

Francesca Chipare returned two for 20 and Kudzai Chigora one for 20.

There are no matches on Saturday due to local by-elections. The action returns on Sunday with Eagles Women taking on Tuskers Women at Harare Sports Club while Rhinos Women and Mountaineers women duel at Old Hararians.

Entry is free. Vaccination card in hand.
