ALMASI AFRICAN PLAYWRIGHTS CONFERENCE-2022. Hybrid Edition (Online and In person)
CALL FOR PLAYS!

CRITERIA
1. Playwrights are to submit full length plays (40 pages minimum).
2. Plays must be legible and in an accessible digital format (pdf/doc).
3. Plays must be new work that has not been published or produced before or during the festival by another party or author.
4. All plays should have a focus on pertinent and compelling issues. One handers and two handers are encouraged to apply.
HOW TO SUBMIT
Plays can be emailed to the Associate Artistic Director Zaza Muchemwa at [email protected]
The email should also contain the following information:
1. Name of the author (the person submitting the play must also be the author of the play).
2. Name of the play.
3. Cellphone number on which you can be contacted easily.
4. Email on which you can be contacted easily.
Plays will be collected and provided to an anonymous panel of experts for initial screening. These works will be reviewed further by another panel.
Afterwards authors of selected works are notified and invited to the workshop.
