SA Rapper Riky Rick dead at 34

Reports coming out of South Africa say celebrated rapper Riky Rick has died.

While the the circumstances surrounding his sudden death are not clear, indications are that he may have committed suicide.

In his last post on Twitter, he said, “I’ll return a stronger man. This land is still my home.”

This was posted at 3.20am on Wednesday morning.

Real name Rikhado Makhado, he openly revealed his struggles with depression, once taking a break from live performances due to it all.

On his podcast Lab Live he also revealed the ongoing struggles.

In the world of hip hop he was known for style and essence, a model many aspired to and embraced.

Riky Rick is survived by his wife Bianca Naidoo and two children.

He was 34.
