WINE REVIEW: Kumusha Wines Sauvignon Blanc 2021

Kumusha Wines Sauvignon Blanc 2021

This wine is labelled vegan friendly but what was surprising was its dalliance with the palate when coupled with medium firm beef biltong. I say dalliance but every fusion of the two exploding in the mouth’s senses invited another go. It is a wine that wants and not necessarily needs assistance for the most part, and a cheese does the work.

You can see it go well with fish and other delicate to medium-firm meats. Umaru flavour might be a bit much.

Like the standard Sauvignon Blanc, its fruity essence expresses with nasal colour.

An enjoyable wine, for a dignified palate.

Kumusha in the Zimbabwean Shona language translates to ‘your home’, ‘your roots’ or ‘your origin’. Through a collaborative process where I respect the vine, the winemaker and the consumer, I try to build a brand of wines that represent and honour their roots.– Tinashe Nyamudoka, Sommelier (Kumusha Wines)
