Zimbabwe’s population is expected to jump up by almost a quarter according to projections for the end of the year.
After a slow growth of just 10% between 2002 and 2012, the last ten years will see the population up from 13 061 239 to 16 980 513. That is roughly 23.1% up.
While the growth is huge, it still lags behind the 33.7% between 1982 and 1992.
The demographical split between males and females should be round about the same. It was 51.9% female in 2012 and now will be about 51.88% female.
The Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (ZimStat) agency released the data. There is a census set for 2022.
