Legendary musician Zex Manatsa has died.
The news revealed by his team via a Facebook post.
#With great sadness we would like to let everyone know that our Father, Our Legend , Pastor and Sekuru Zexie Manatsa, has succumbed to cancer. May his dear soul rest in peace.01/01/44-20/01/2022′, it read.
Manatsa revealed in 2021 that he was suffering from a type of cancer called Multiple Myeloma.
He was 78.
Manatsa was a particularly major musician in the 1980s and at Zimbabwe’s independence celebrations, was one of the supporting acts for the Bob Marley concert in Harare.
He also famously had 50,000 attend his wedding as a paid gig in 1979.
