Power tariffs go up

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company has announced an increase in power tariffs effective 1 January 2022.

The announcement of the tariff change was made Saturday and will see Domestic Metered Customers (Conventional Meter), have the fixed monthly charge set at $35.68

Standard prepayment will be at $10.61 per kwH across the board while for those on stepped the first 50kwH will be at $2.38 going up to a maximum of $13.71 per kWh for the 300 to 400 bracket. Above that it will sit at $14.31.
