The Sport and Recreation Commission (SRC) has set up a Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) Restructuring Committee.
The committee has been mandated with making strategic decisions for the game and will not be involved in the day-to-day running of the game which will be done by the Zifa Secretariat.
The nine-member committee is led by business executive and lawyer Blessing Rugara.
Other members include Zimpapers board chair Tommy Sithole, bankers Desmund Ali and Joel Gombera, former Zimbabwe Olympic Committee Chief Executive Anna Mguni, former Caps United administrator Joyce Kapora, Rudo Muugandani, Brian Busani Moyo and Charles Sibanda.
While the board may consult the SRC, no member of the committee is subject to inference from the board, said chairperson Gerald Mlotshwa.
SRC recently suspended Zifa’s board.
